Burn Zombie Burn is a downloadable game for the PlayStation 3 and PC developed by Doublesix. The PC version is published by P2 Games and launched via the Steam platform on August 12 2010. A boxed version which will contain a DVD of Night of the Living Dead is scheduled for September 2010 in the UK.

Gameplay:-

In Burn Zombie Burn the player controls a character called Bruce, against a never ending horde of various zombies. The objective of the game is kill as many zombies as possible before he dies, whilst reaching certain score thresholds that unlock more of the game. The game is an arena based shooter. The core mechanic, as described in the game’s title, is about setting zombies on fire. In order to score high, the player has to set zombies on fire and each zombie on fire adds to their score multiplier. Burning zombies are also more dangerous as they run faster and deal more damage to the player if they get too close.

The game is split across six levels with varying layouts. Each level also has a unique event that is triggered by the “Big Red Button”. Attaining three consecutive weapon combos activates the button. Each event will normally help the player in some way but later in the game they can also harm him.

Modes:-

There are four game modes in the game and all are available on startup. However, unlocking levels within each mode has to be done by the player. There is also an optional Tutorial present.

* Freeplay – The simplest of the four modes; as the player just has to survive and score high.

* Defense – This has the player protect Bruce’s girlfriend Daisy, who’s stationary and normally positioned in the center of each level. In order to protect Daisy the player must set zombies on fire and kill enough of them to produce a health pickup for Daisy.

* Timed – The player starts with a five minute limit and he has to kill flaming zombies so that they drop a time pickup, which replenishes the timer.

* Challenges – There are a total of ten challenges in the game, with varying objectives. These normally isolate certain game mechanics and place them in tougher scenarios for the player to complete.

Characters:-

* Bruce - The main player character of the game, Bruce is just a normal guy tossed into an extra-ordinary circumstance. He was on a date with his girlfriend, Daisy, when the zombies attacked. Bruce will use a number of powerful weapons to defeat the walking dead that have ruined his evening.
* Bruno - Bruce's brother Bruno is used by the additional players during multiplayer sessions of the game. Bruno is a re-skinned model of Bruce and looks nearly identical. The only different between Bruce and Bruno is a mustache that Bruno wears.
* Daisy - Bruce's girlfriend Daisy is the one that Bruce is attempting to protect during the game's campaign. Bruce and Daisy were enjoying themselves in Bruce's car when the zombies attacked. Bruce gets out of the car to protect Daisy from certain death and that's where the game begins.

Zombie Types:-

1. Normal Zombie.
2. Super Zombie - Large, only damaged by explosive weapons.
3. Ballet Zombie - Dances, avoiding the player's projectile weapons.
4. Rusher Zombie - Very fast, will attack in a straight line.
5. Masked Zombie - Covered in trash can armor, durable against firearms.
6. Infected Zombie - Immune to fire as well as the Dance Gun.
7. Noxious Zombie - Has the ability to create Infected Zombies if they travel near him.
8. Crazy Zombie - Will relentlessly pursue the player no matter where they go.
9. Exploding Zombie - Covered in explosives, lighting these on fire will cause massive damage.
